Introducing the NC Pride glass!
For those who don't know, the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence was supposedly signed on May 20, 1775, in Charlotte by a committee of citizens of Mecklenburg County, who declared independence from Great Britain after hearing of the battle of Lexington. If the story is true, the Mecklenburg Declaration preceded the United States Declaration of Independence by more than a year. Now that's badass.
About the design
The NC Pride glass encompasses elements of North Carolina’s state flag. The “N” and “C” flanking a white star, with date-laden banners above and below. It bears the date of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence - May 20, 1775 - which if accurate, places North Carolina at the forefront of the American independence movement.
Below is the date of the Halifax Resolves, April 12, 1776. This signifies the adoption of the resolution the was the first official action in the American Colonies calling for independence from Great Britain during the American Revolution. The Halifax Resolves helped pave the way for the presentation to Congress of the United States Declaration of Independence less than three months later.
With the exception of the white star, the design is printed in bright reflective gold and shows well on any style of beer.
Glassware Information
Arc Nordic Cooler - 17 oz. Capacity
The Arc Nordic Cooler is a solid "go-to" glass for just about any style of beer; however, it's most known for being perfect for IPAs and Pale Ales. It has a higher capacity (17 ounces) than most glasses, which means it's going to fit that 16 oz tallboy easily with enough room for a nice head. The Nordic Cooler feels excellent in your hand (it's hard to explain, but as soon as you pick it up you'll understand), and is unique enough to stand out while being subtle enough to sneak some water in.
Glassware Care
Here is a guide I wrote that details the best way for you to clean your glassware properly.
I do not recommend putting these glasses in the dishwasher. Hand wash with soap and water and let them air dry. If you don't, there is a chance the gold will flake or come off. These glasses contain precious metals, so never place them in the microwave.
